Travel east on U.S. 60 (Superstition Freeway) from Phoenix.
Exit at Tomahawk Road
Head north approximately 3.5 miles
Turn left into the Rodeo Grounds entrance
To Prospector Park:
Travel east on U.S. 60
Exit at Ironwood - turn left
Proceed north on Ironwood approximately 4.5 miles
Turn right onto McKellips Road
Proceed one mile and turn right onto Idaho Road
Park is approximately ½ mile ahead
Option 1: Use U.S. 60 as described above
Option 2: If traveling southeast on SR 202 (Red Mountain Freeway):
- Exit on University, turn left
- Proceed east to Ironwood
- North to McKellips
- East to Idaho
- South to the park
Traveling northeast on SR 202 (San Tan Freeway):
- Connect to U.S. 60 and follow directions above, OR
- Exit at University and follow Mesa/Scottsdale directions
Take U.S. 60 east, continue past Gold Canyon.
Approximately 1.5 miles past Kings Ranch Road, turn LEFT (north) on Peralta Road.
Proceed approximately 1 mile to Peralta Trails Elementary School (on right).
⚠️ No Return Shuttle: There are NO shuttles back to Peralta School from the marathon finish in Prospector Park! Have someone drop you off; do not leave your car.

Directions & Parking
All Lost Dutchman races except the full marathon start and end in Prospector Park. Marathoners must park at the Rodeo Grounds.
Marathon Transportation
All runners will be bused to the start. No private vehicle drop off of runners at the start line will be allowed. The marathon finishes at Prospector Park, there are regular shuttles back to the Rodeo Grounds.
Plan to arrive at the Rodeo Grounds by 4:15 AM. Recommended departure: 3:30 AM from Phoenix/Tempe · 3:45 AM from Mesa/Chandler · 4:00 AM from Apache Junction/Gold Canyon
Bus Schedule Timeline
Marathoners must park at the Rodeo Grounds. Clothing will be transported back to the finish line and made available immediately after the race on the basketball courts in the park.

Last Bus to Start: 5:45 AM
Return Transportation: Regular shuttles available throughout the day back to Rodeo Grounds
This is the recommended option for all marathon runners. Your clothing will be transported to the finish line for you.
