The marathon is a scenic, rolling, point-to-point, USATF certified course (AZ23001JOE)
that can be used as a qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

The Lost Dutchman Marathon, Inc.
The Lost Dutchman Marathon, Inc. is a public charity run by an all-volunteer board of directors and officers with proceeds directed to local youth organizations focused on the economically disadvantaged.
Since the Lost Dutchman Marathon's inception in 2002 we have donated over $980,000 to various local youth organizations.

The Lost Dutchman Marathon and its associated races are a favorite of serious marathoners and casual runners alike. This event is held annually over President's day weekend near the rumored site of the legendary Lost Dutchman Mine. Runners can depend on a beautiful location, excellent weather, great volunteers, and fast times.
This was my first Lost Dutchman race and I am so glad I signed up. The race was well organized, I loved the way parking was organized, and I loved the aid stations almost every mile. The volunteers were cheering as they were doing their job. I will definitely do another race.
This desert gem ALWAYS delivers--everything, and I mean everything is taken care of--start to finish--way to rock another LDM!!
The view on this course was amazing! Definitely one of my favorite races so far. Since the course is fairly remote, the drum line and the other stops with music were great energizers.
What a wonderfully organized marathon! The views were spectacular. The aid stations were so encouraging...and the community involvement was incredible. I've run 15 marathons and this one is definitely in the top 3! What a unforgettable experience!
